I can’t believe the last blog post from me was when I was only 26 weeks pregnant. Today my son is 14 weeks old and my goodness my life sure has changed. Being a mother is the most precious thing in the world and it’s pretty amazing to see that this little life was created by me. The baby showers were fabulous as I had TWO, one with friends and family and another one at my office. We pretty much received everything that we could ever need for bringing baby home. Here are a few snapshots from the shower…
Of course with me… I couldn’t let my mom plan the party herself, I had to help so I made the invitations :)
I started my maternity leave on February 17th and had 4 weeks off before the arrival of my son. On February 22nd I decided to go see a movie with my girlfriends. I wasn’t really feeling up to it, but went anyway and we stayed up late after the show to talk about all my fears and hopes about labor. At 3:00am that morning my water broke and I went to the hospital only 1cm dilated. Almost 30 hours later my son Austen William was born at 7 pounds 2 oz and 22 inches long! BIG BOY!!
